The essence of God can’t be expressed in a million names, but it is as easy in one name, it gets at who he is. All the essence of God is contained in his identity. What he is and who is are the same. Mercy, justice. Love is not just the center of God’s actions and mission, but it is God’s essence, what he is.

God is completely perfect in everyway in himself alone. Only God can be the most profound mystery: to be perfectly wholly one with no division or separation but also distinction and diversity.
What is more general, common and indefinite of God. This substance is the Eternal, the All Powerful, the All God, All knowing, uncreated, the Unmoved mover as St. Thomas calls him. What is meant by 3 Persons then? That what we can say as general universal of God is specific and individual in the Persons. Distinguised from concepts obtained together. The Substance is God, the Persons are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. What is common to all does not dissolve the individual and that which is individual does not break what is common. In them exists no gaps, no intrusion nor a void. Constantly and perfectly one while being three only in number. St. Basil says “A conjoined separation and a separated union” One is not more incomprehensible or uncreated than the other.
An analogy of a rainbow.
“In the common properties of the substance, the distinguishing individual qualities of each shines forth.” We are only able to comprehend what we in our feedle minds can. This is why the key to life is given in the act of faith. We raise above our powers.
The etneral life we want. We don’t just want life, but eternal life and not just endless succession of days, we want the purpose the essence of existence. It is found and given in and through God. It’s the pattern for our heavenly reality. Unity with distinction. Us and God
By believing and accepting God we believe and accept heaven and this way of life.
