The Holy Family, not simply three holy people as individuals that are together. Today in the midst of our Christmas celebration and the dawn of our salvation we focus on how he came to save us. It wasn’t by accident that Jesus entered the family. God from the beginning made the family a sacred thing. Not just holy because of Jesus. God destined that at the origin of all life is love and faithfulness. Noone is self-sufficent. Marriage is a mutual giving and taking. That love gives birth to every human person, that’s where our identity and dignity comes from. To speak, to create and to bless all the same in God. The family was of divine origin, God willed it. However, it was one of the first things affected by original sin. The words of family’s have an impact, they have power to help us or to hurt us. So much can happen how we are able to be lifted up by what the parents say.
Not only the family as an origin but also and principally as a unite, as this ecosystem. We form the human person. Our freedom must constantly be formed. Love does not come to an end with difficulties. Every person is formed by others. We are formed every minute either by the ideologies of the world, the opinions of others or something good.
God constantly uses the family to help us. Now many attacks and arguments happen in the family.
Also, sometimes the family is a place of difficulty. We have hard families, we have children that don’t go the way we want. We question why or how these people can help. However, we have to trust that God has given us this family. All the virtues that we are called to learn and to practice, the family can and should help us to grow in.
